These terms govern the use of Olvidalacama by registered members. By creating an account, you declare that you have read and accept them. They complement the legal notice and the privacy policy.

1. Your account

  • To sign up you must be at least 18 years old. We will close any account we have reason to believe belongs to a minor.
  • You can use a nickname. We recommend that you do not use your real name or any details that could identify you.
  • You can share the account with your partner, but you are responsible for everything posted from it.
  • Keep your password secret. If you suspect someone has accessed your account, change it and let us know.
  • The service is free. We may change, extend or stop offering features whenever we consider it necessary.

2. What you can post

You can post places, photos of those places, comments, ratings and stories. Everything you post must be legal, truthful and respectful of others. You must not post:

  • any content involving or referring to minors in a sexual context, or any place located in or next to schools, playgrounds, nurseries or other spaces frequented by minors;
  • sexual or nude images, or photos in which people or vehicle number plates can be identified: photos must show only the place;
  • other people's personal data (names, phone numbers, profiles, home addresses) or information that could identify people who visit a place;
  • content that encourages recording, photographing or watching other people without their consent;
  • offers or requests for sexual services in exchange for money, advertising, spam or commercial links;
  • content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination, or the commission of crimes;
  • private homes or private properties closed to the public;
  • texts or images copied from other websites or from other people without their permission;
  • information you know to be false, or that impersonates another person or organisation.

You are responsible for what you post and for any damage it may cause to third parties or to Olvidalacama if you break these rules or the law.

3. Your content

What you post remains yours. By posting it, you grant the owner of Olvidalacama a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for as long as the rights last, to host, reproduce, adapt (for example, crop or resize photos, correct typos or translate texts into other languages), distribute and publicly communicate that content on Olvidalacama and in its promotion. You guarantee that you have the right to grant this licence.

If you delete your account, we will remove your profile and your personal data. The places you have contributed may remain published without your name, as they are part of the shared directory; if you would rather they were deleted too, say so when you ask to close your account.

4. Moderation

New places and stories are reviewed by a member of the team before they are published. Comments and ratings are published straight away and are reviewed if someone reports them or if we detect a problem. We also use simple automated measures, such as rate limits to curb spam and filters for words related to minors; decisions about content are always taken by a person.

If content breaks the law or these terms, we may remove it, correct it (for example, delete a piece of personal data), hide it from search engines, or suspend or close the account that posted it. The measures will be proportionate to the seriousness and repetition of the breach. When we remove content of yours or restrict your account, we will tell you by email with the reasons, unless the law or an authority prevents us from doing so, and you can reply to that email to ask us to review the decision.

5. How to report illegal content

If you believe that content on Olvidalacama is illegal or infringes your rights, let us know:

  • with the Report button on the place's page, if you have an account, or
  • by email to [email protected], without needing to sign up.

So that we can act, give the exact address (URL) of the content, explain why you believe it is illegal, and provide your name and email address together with a statement that the information is accurate and that you are sending it in good faith. You do not need to identify yourself if the content may constitute child sexual abuse. We will acknowledge receipt, review the notice diligently and objectively, and inform you of our decision. If content gives rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence that threatens people's life or safety, we will report it to the authorities.

6. Point of contact

The single point of contact for members, authorities and the European Commission, for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services, is [email protected]. You can write to us in Spanish or in English.

7. Closing and suspending accounts

You can stop using Olvidalacama and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to [email protected] from the email address you signed up with. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or the law, as explained in the moderation section.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to adapt them to legal changes or changes to the service. If the change is significant, we will let you know by email at least 15 days in advance. If you keep using your account after that, you will be deemed to accept the new version; if you do not agree, you can close your account.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are acting as a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence and you keep all the rights that consumer protection law gives you.
